Branch roles

We have over 150 branches across every state and territory of Australia. There are seven key roles within our branch operations, which can vary depending on branch size and location. The role types include:

Branch Manager

Our Branch Managers develop a performance-based culture focussing on exceptional customer service.  They manage the day-to-day operations in their branch ensuring a safe workplace for all.  They coach & mentor their team to execute sales strategies to grow their business.  They genuinely enjoy engaging with customers.

Assistant Branch Manager

Our Assistant Branch Manager will support the Branch Manager to reach profit, performance, and customer service goals. They genuinely enjoy engaging with customers and delivering exceptional customer service. They lead by example.

Customer Service & Sales

Our Customer Service & Sales team members are committed to making a difference to the needs of our customers.  They offer exceptional customer service & are solutions focussed.  They strive to attain sales goals.

Storeperson/Sales

Our Store/Sales team members manage both inward and outward stock.  They focus on efficient & effective stock management practices to provide great customer service.  They also enjoy interacting with customers at the Counter.

Inventory & Sales Administration

Our Inventory & Sales Administration team members impact on overall branch results through effective inventory management practices.  They are actively involved in the sales culture of the branch.

Sales Representatives

Our Sales Representatives establish & create a strong market presence to provide sales solutions to both existing & new customers. They grow their territory in sales & with a mix of customers by building & maintaining positive relationships.

Storeperson

Our Storepeople receive, pick, pack and dispatch stock in a timely manner to ensure customer needs are met.  They have great attention to detail and pride themselves on meeting tight deadlines.

Support Office roles

Our Support Office is located in Blackburn, Melbourne, and supports our branch network, suppliers and corporate customers. Some of the functions within our Head Office include:

Marketing

Our Marketing team make sure our customers know who we are and what we stand for. They create and drive a range of strategies to promote our brand, reputation and services to our business customers.

Category Management

Our Category Management team have extensive experience in understanding consumer needs and our industry. They increase sales and profitability of our business to drive sustainable growth.

Key Account Management

Our Key Account Management team always maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction whilst ensuring the commercial needs of the business are met.

Pricing / Finance

Our Finance and Pricing team does much more than crunching numbers. They help to power the daily operations through short- and long-term strategies.

Information Technology

Our Information Technology team is the core of our business they stay on top of industry trends and remain up to date with cutting edge technology to meet our ever changing business needs.

Human Resources

Our HR team play a key role in driving our strategy to become the high performing and customer-focused organisation that sets us apart in our industry.

Logistics / Supply Chain

Our Supply Chain & Logistics team oversees our materials all the way from placing our brands in the hands of our customers and play an expert integrator for supply across our many operations.

eCommerce & Digital

Our eCommerce & Digital team is switched-on, plugged-in digital creative, and have growing demand across e-Commerce, Digital and Social Media.

Lawrence & Hanson branches across the country use LED lighting and we are now adopting solar panels to selected branches as well.

Lawrence & Hanson provide staff with an Energy Transition eLearning module to educate and encourage employees to reduce our Co2 footprint and expand our knowledge and expertise in sustainability products and systems.

We work closely with our suppliers to promote and advocate energy efficient products.

We have adopted a no plastic policy many years ago and cut down on paper usage by sending electronic invoices to our customers.
