Company History

EWS business was established in July 2003, with 2 branches in Sydney City and Bathurst. The business was established by a group of individuals who had been involved in the Electrical Wholesale industry and decided to set up their own business (Adrian Wilson, Wayne Comerford, Bob Dummigan, Steven Johnson and John Colyer). The business was built on a reputation for service and previous relationships that they had together formed after being involved in the industry for many years.

EWS was a member of the Gemcell buying group in its early years and traded for over 10 years as an independent wholesaler. In July 2013 EWS was purchased by Sonepar, expanding its business to 8 branches.

In October 2017 EWS merged with Auslec/Lawrence & Hanson to create a greater network of branches and service offerings to electrical contractors in metro and regional NSW.
